Dr Barry Smith
Principal Dentist
Dr Barry Smith has been a practising dentist for over 30 years, with considerable experience in prosthodontic treatment, crowns, veneers, bridges, implants, full mouth reconstructions and cosmetic makeovers.
After graduation, he served as a Royal Australian Air Force Dental Officer for 11 years, before establishing his current practice in 2001. Barry loves a challenge – for him, dentistry requires the diagnostic skills of a physician, the dexterity of an artisan, and the visual interpretation of an artist. He finds it extremely satisfying to tap into all three of these disciplines to work towards the best treatments possible for his patients.
A gentle and caring dentist, he aims to make every patient’s visit as comfortable and pain-free as possible. He finds it especially satisfying to use his skills in prosthodontics, helping patients who are suffering from severe pain or who are embarrassed or self-conscious about their teeth.
In his spare time, Barry keeps active by entering triathlons and parkruns, and also loves to travel.
